Kargil

It was a  battle
that knew no trails
for the saffron
was up for hail

The heroes were hung
and princess cried on dead-bed
slaves were taken in
an women raped and derailed

There was no fire
for funeral pyre
They lay dead in the field of saffron
All by themselves

For Vultures and Eagles
Played scavenger hunt.
For who chew the flesh
of the hero, the head

The marks of battle
homogenized with bite
saffron of meat
came out amidst respite

In the greens of valley
under the whites of  moon
all what was left was
Chakra of Dharma's rule

From colors of struggle
They made symbol of greatest pride
Let the enemy come now

This nation can battle every might.

A Poet

I am but a poet
and words are all I have

I crave for the moments
of money in rich time
and of hardship and misery
when I up for a dime

of  beauty and love
and glorious sunshine
of obscurity and heartbreak
and dark ugly night

of friendship and mellowness
in the people's eyes
of jealous and hatred
towards me all the time

of victory and gain
when my ambitions are mountain high
of pain and loss
and my ego in marine.

I am what I am
for the life wanted me to be.
I don't want a Good life
for Good is not so good for me.
I crave for all the flavors
that life has in store for me.

I am but a poet

and words are all I have.

Muse

For  Shakespeare had a muse
and for her he writes
I look up for someone
Who lets my thoughts go kites

In the Turbulence of Desert Dunes
In the escapes of tides
In  the silent murmurs of lonely roads
Up  on the mountains covered in whites

Under the cover of history that eludes
In the myths of lost times
In the relics  from frontiers
with  a story of big time

In the expanse of Forts and Palaces
In the diamond and rubies once worn by
On the benches of dusty stations
and trains and  Airplanes for me to fly

When the rebel in me had his time
I realized I haven't  found mine
For what I needed was not the journey to the places

For what I needed was journey deep inside.

Few Battles

There are few battles,
Un-fought

There are few questions,
Un-asked

There are few dreams,
Un-seen

There are few wounds,
Un-cleaned

There are few shades,
Un-cleared

There are few moments,
Un-cheered

There are few constrains,
Un-chained

There are few failures,
Un-debt

There are few challenges,
Unfledged

There are few passions,
Un-leased

There are few talents,
Un-crypt

There are few battle left
And I’ll win them all.

Envy

I envy the man
I thought I was
Hard on Principles
Tough like rod

I envy the man
I thought I could be
Working by the book
articulate and sort-out

I envy the man
I thought I would be
Defining Perfection
Seeking beauty

Life sets many stages
Stairs I Climbed
To become a man
I wanted to be

But none of this
Would have brought me any closer
To the man
 I am and should be

Shiva

I am Shiva
the God of all
Ghosts ,cannibals, humans ,thugs
I am impartial to all

I kiss death in lips
snake, my garland
smeared on my body are ashes
of dead buried in Far-land

I am the form of formless
and I am God of fertility
Yet I sit on snow capped mountains
far from proximity.

I smoke marijuana
I drink , tandav my dance
and I am the yogi of highest order
seclusion is all I ask
I say I am not ideal, not Godly
I am just like you
I do mistakes, I break in life
and Seek vengeance too.

Oh Lord Shiva
the one with fierce temper
destroyer of all evil
the impartial, the impractical
the all powerful yet incorruptible
the source of all energy,
the pool of knowledge

bless me the persona you hold

Beyond Worldly Illusion

Mysteries and Queers,the illusive lanes
what lies beyondis virtue of time

Variable views
the bending dreams
stands on the floor
polished in Cream

Masking Character
impersonating Personalities
guards us from the
man in our reality

Clear water spring
the salty lakes
are similar for
smoky eyes of dung cakes

Life we lead
the pictures we paint
shatters like a glass

when mist condense
